PUBLIC PARKS

Ms. Laziza worked in NYC public parks as an educator for over 20 years. During those years she developed a system for hands-on learning that embraced all ages and abilities. Many talented people came through her teaching program and went on to successful teaching careers. She is still a big fan of NYC Parks including the Hancock Community Backyard Garden Park in Brooklyn where she has a long standing relationship.

MICRO MUSEUM

Ms. Laziza found the legendary art center Micro Museum in 1986. There she curated hundreds of video,visual and performing art shows. It was a hub for creative learning as well as a focal point NYC dance, theater, music, clowning and puppetry. MICRO MUSEUM® became US Registered Trademark in 2004. The museum has had a few personas since it began. It is now a learning distance center and is dedicated to spirit of empowerment for those seeking their inner entrepreneur. GRASSROOTS ACTIVIST

Ms. Laziza was involved in various urban planning projects in downtown Brooklyn as an artist advocate for community access public access TV and the artistic development of commercial spaces and businesses. Her eclectic SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION series ran for over 24 years. She has multi year experience producing annual roundups of high school dance programs in Brooklyn as a part of National Dance Week. She was instrumental in the creation of Brooklyn’s first tourism Visitor’s center. There are dozens of collaborating organizations who developed more artistically because of her innovation.
